Does the GX470 have a feature for the windows which allows you to open and close the windows via the remote or by putting the key in the driverside door lock and turn and hold to open or close the windows and sunroof? Thank You

compaq,

Just to clarify, indeed, if the unlock button on the key remote is held down long enough, the windows and sunroof will open. The key remote, however, will not close the windows. For remote closing, the key must be inserted into the drivers door keyhole and held in the lock position for the windows and sunroof to close.

Kash,

I really don't know. Other vehicles i.e. MB have this remote feature. I would guess safety...so a person's hand or finger can't get "caught up" in the remote closing of the windows/sunroof. On another note, I'm sure there are other vehicles out there that have it but I think the pinch protection is a + on Lexi vehicles.

Kash,

You can't close the windows with the remote, even with the loaner rx. I had an rx300 and tried to close the windows by pushing the lock button, won't work.

Lexus never had the auto up option. Maybe too much of a liability?

You can get auto up programed into the remote, I've seen it here. A guy got it done at Circuit City.
