Default Minor Offroading Today! (PICS)

Hey guys,
I took my new GX off-roading today! It handled perfectly. I had the chance to lock the differential and put it in low to get all the parts lubed up again!

Nothing too extreme, yet... The tires, even though they have 50% tread left, need to be replaced. They are some cheap knockoff brand. Going to get some Michelins or BF soon.

Thanks, it was a ton of fun! Going from my X5 to the GX was a day and night difference! The 4.7 just has so much more power and I didn't feel like I was going to break anything in the GX. Such a beast!

Nice GX!! I have a fully armor lifted LX450 for offroad and long trip use too. The GX is very capable with just 2 inches lift, slider, front and rear armor bumper and you can go virtually anywhere. Has advantage over LX in terms of body size and narrower. Definitely much stronger and reliable vehicle than an X5. Have fun. Checkout ih8mud.com for all the cruiser info and mod. The GX470 is a Landcruiser 120 for the rest of the world!!

What do you use or recommend for armor?

I have a front ARB winch bumper, rear tire and fuel can carrier bumper, OME suspension lift and SLEE OFFROAD sliders installed on my LX450. ARB makes front bumper for GX470 as well.

They do? I've seen one for the Prado 120 which has mostly matching body panels except for the front fender flares. From what I've seen, you need to cut one or the other to get this to fit. Not a big deal but ARB bumpers are usually desirable because they are straight bolt for most cars. If they have a true bolt on, please post a link.

Its Boreas Pass in CO! Those were some extra plates I had laying around... And my temp tag got ruined by the carwash on a Sunday so it was my only option.
