Just wondering if anyone has tried using the voice guidance capability for the nav or audio system

i tried using mine but am having difficulty with how the button works

do you just click the voice guidance button once or do you have to keep the button pressed for a few seconds?

i meant the speech button in the steering wheel and not the voice guidance

does the display have to be turned on when using the speech command?

 

Just press it quickly. Holding it for longer doesn't make it work. Try it a couple of times so you can get used to it. At first, it took me a few tries before I got it. You know which voice commands it takes, right? It's in the corner box on the back of the "Navigation Quick Reference Guide".
