Default Speedometer Stopped Working? Help!!!

Hey guys this is my first post on Club Lexus!

I'm a huge Lexus fan my first car was a SC300 and 2 years ago decided to trade up to a 2004 GX470!

So the other day I was working and heard a faint clicking behind the dash and before I could see what it was all my gauges seemed to pop into place? I wasn't sure what I just saw and as I pulled away sure enough my ****** speedometer wasn't working!! Tach, Fuel, Temp, ODO everything else fine. Get home upset and go out to dinner and sure enough as we leave gauges all seem fine and speedo is working!! Life is good but went out for a drive again yesterday and same thing, all but the speedo shot. Now sometimes when I fire her up, the other 3 struggle to get where they gotta be but after a minute they do.

PLEASE help is there anyone else who has experience this?!! Should I bite the bullet and go to Lexus or any leads to do it on my own? Don't have a ton of $$ to drop

Thanks for any help!!

Goto this website http://www.lexusinstrumentclusterrepair.com/

Contact Jim Walker (Tel. - 559.240.5235) , he is the best in lexus clusters repair, I can vouch for him, as My LS400 which has been famous for instrument cluster flicker and other issues , and many thousand members of CL forum and other Lexus forum will refer him too. Good luck

Thanks guys for the responses!

As the weather started to warm up the speedo has been fine (knock on wood)! I still don't want to dismiss what happened and am still slightly worried every time I pull away will my speedo start to rise! Shes got 107k on her and was just bragging to my buddies a few weeks back that I have never had a mechanical problem with her

LZMF1 your the man! Haha I was just looking into swapping out my headlights, or should I say upgrade to something more along the lines of what I drive on summer days, an 06 Mercedes SL500. I love how they turn on blue and need to warm up, love them blue eyes haha
