Default Navi Update v8.1

Anyone have this new version? What's new in this version besides updated maps?

My local dealer has the update for $315 and I’ve seen the disc on ebay for about $200+/-.

Do you just swap the dics or do I need to go into the dealer to have them install it??

Any input is appreciated…

Thanks in advance!

I believe it's as easy as swapping out the discs. But don't quote me on that.

I've been considering the same thing. Too bad they don't give you free updates. sheesh.

Just swap out the discs. I've only noticed updated maps -- no new or improved features

I've got a related question on this DVD -

tightlinez - Your local dealer quoted you $315 for the update.

I believe Sewell sells it online for $299 if I'm not mistaken.

When I went to the Lexus owner's site to see the release notes, it says the MSRP is $265.

What's with the apparent markup from Lexus MSRP?

It's here for $260: http://www.lexuspartsworld.com/Scrip...idCategory=107

I have a 4.2 disc so I am looking to upgrade.

I guess the extra is for installation...

I agree with getting it from Sewell and installing it yourself. Sewell's site has a link on installing it. It literally takes like 1 minute to do (if that)

I stand corrected on Sewell's online price.

Yes, it is listed at $299, but there is a promo code that knocks off $50.
