I'm wondering if anyone has run into this issue. Suddenly, it seems that the automated sunroof feature is not working. I can hold down the rocker switch and it will open and close, but the automated feature just stopped working. Has anyone encountered this before? Could it be the switch itself, or perhaps (my great hope) just a particular fuse that may have blown.

Any help would be greatly appreciated since I'm out of warranty.

 

Our GX just had the cable shred inside the motor and the outcome was a stuck open sunroof....

My wife was there to witness the service mgr; all she remembers is he mentioned "reprogramming the controls" and saw him hold buttons down for a long period of time. Maybe give the dealer a call and ask them how to reprogram the sunroof controls.

 

There was someone that had a reply saying to hold the button down for 5 seconds after opening completely, and then closing the roof and holding down for another 5 seconds once finished. And.....it worked! Thank god for this forum, I hope this fix works for your problems as well.

I have an extended warranty and the GX is back on the road with a closed moon roof.
