The TSB is suppose to be permanent. The stiffer ride will soften up after a few months.

Hey guys, i'm having the same problem with the clunk. But before i call my sa, i would like to know how you guys approached your sa with this issue. Since i'm in a rural area, maybe its not common to him about the fix?

I told my dealer that the cluck only happens once a while at the stop light and it happens more often if you adjust the rear height, it didnt happen when the tech and I test drove it. I insisted that they perform the TSB due to the fact that the test drive doesnt prove a thing. They agree.

G Man is correct about adjusting rear height.
If you come to a stop, keep holding brake pedal (keeps suspension loaded) and then adjust rear height up and down. You will definately hear noise.

Do you mind me asking how long you have been waiting for your parts?

I just took my car 2005 GX in for its 10,000 mile service. I mentioned to the service advisor that I started noticing the clunking noise from the rear for the past 2,000 miles.

They ordered the shaft assy and control arm kit as per TSB DL001-06 and said it will take about 2-3 weeks for them to arrive.

Hmmm... based on everyone else getting their parts, I called my SA and left him a heads up... Lo and behold, he calls me back and says the parts are in, drop by anytime... (Guess it pays to be a bit pushy... ) Will probably go in early next week for the TSB...

well i finally got the guts to call in today and my sa transfer me to the service department. cool guy, he said to call him back this friday and see if i can get scheduled in for next week for the repair. Not sure if he meant by getting the part in the end of this weekend or by next week. But anyhow it wasn't as bad as i thought it was.

Truck is at the dealer as we "speak"... I also had a low tire pressure warning light come on this morning, so I asked them to look into that as well... They told me it should be done today... See how it goes!

I dropped my GX this morning for the clunk issue.
I believe my wait was about 2 months when I report it to the SA back in Sept/Oct.

I also had them check the vibration when braking, possibly from the rotors.

Well, I had the lexus muffin, grab the RX loaner and will get a call later on today when they're finished

Service was very pleasant, sure beats the zoo at fletcher jones mb-off topic

Did you go to the new Lexus Newport Beach? I usually go to Mission Viejo, but stopped in at NB and wow!...not a bad place to grab a free coffee and
muffin!
