Default Sirius on 06!

It is comfirmed that the 2006 sirius radio tuner made for the LX will work on the GX as well, even though the dash button does not say SAT on it and there is nothing on Lexus.com about it either. The Sirius DOES WORK on the 2006 GX470.

I spoke with a service guy at the Lexus dealer in Charlotte, NC and asked if he was aware of any changes in the Radio from '05 to'06 that would prevent one from putting a kit into an '05. The service guy told me that he thought it would work, but there he has no prior installations to say yes or no. I am curious what changes, if any, are there in the radio from '05 to '06 and I am tempted to give it a shot with the Sirius unit. . .

can we get a discounted price on the sirius module??? i think im gonna isntall it myself.. it should be all plug in play... as far as accessing the SAT mode... do you keep pressing on the MODE button or DISC mode??? i wonder how the menu will be aviable??? Maybe it's like the MD mode from Vaistech. Keep pressing CD mode and it will change b/t those two things...

Any info on where we can order this at a good price? Sure.. i can go down to the dealer and order one and get ripped off.... but i choose not to as much as possible.

I am using XM right now with tape adapter. Sound ok... not great... i feel that SIRIUS has better channel line up than XM.. i listen to rap/top20/dance/trance music...

Just bought our new 06 @ Steven's Creek.
Sirius came pre installed on our Rx, and 9 months free service to start!

If in socal, make sure you try Longo.
They are owned by Penske, and apparently they have a deal.
My dealer in N. Cal is also Penske, and they claim to have "exclusive" deal with Sirius to come preinstalled on Lexus 06 models
