Default Door Ajar Light Won't Go Off

So yesterday, I received my LEDs for the puddle lights in the doors from V-LEDs and I went to put them in. Only one of the four LEDs light up; that is the rear passenger side door. The other three stayed lit for a second and then went out. I then removed the LEDs and put the OEM bulbs back in and those won't light up either. I then noticed that even with all the doors and trunk shut and tight, the door ajar light remains lit and I cannot lock the doors with the key fob; I just get a long beep until I hit the unlock button. The dome light will remain on when in auto and the lights in the front foot wells remain on as well.

When I open the rear doors, the reading light for each corresponding door comes on and shuts off when the doors are closed.

I took the car to Lexus today and they couldn't diagnose the problem. Anyone have any ideas? Please and thanks.

Anybody?

It kind of sucks that I have to pull the fuse every time I leave the car parked to make sure the battery doesn't get drained.

What you most likely are experiencing is a problem with the door switches. The electronics running from the ECU to the switches has probably gone bad. This would account for why your car doesn't actually know that your doors are shut when in fact they are.

You can read a bit more about this problem at the following links:

Thank you for the response and the links; I've searched and read through those before posting this thread. A Lexus technician tested my switches and said they are all good to go but still cannot source out the problem. I'm so stumped on this. Are the switches and ECU built into the door lock actuators or that a completely different assembly?

That's strange. If it is indeed not the problem then I still think it has something to do with the electronics that deal with the doors to your steering console and them being closed or not.

I was just outside messing with the door latch and I found that the front passenger door handle needs noticeably more force to get the door to open. I also manually closed the latch mechanism and pull the door handle and it did not release until the 4th time I attempted to make it release. I think the latch may be the problem since the switch is built into that assembly?

Thats a simple diagnosis. Lexus should have solve the problem by connecting thetech stream and looking at the data. It would identify the problem door . Knowing that the trace the door switch circuit. It could be a somple door switch or ground.

Is this door module on the driver's side?

Does anyone have the part number for the door module, or point me in the direction of where it is? My Door open light won't turn off either.
