PPF & Ceramic Coating...
Any opinions from those who purchased these products: Is a Full Front PPF and Full Ceramic Coating worth the investment? My car has a 1/3 front PPF from Lexus (you can see the line on the hood and fenders). Is it worth upgrading to Full front Xpel? Appreciate your input.
morning, front bumper and front end a must with xpel film, whole hood if budget permits,
I would research doing the ceramic coating yourself and save 800$
car pro uk 3.0 coating great for novice
much info on the ls460 threads I posted

The ceramic coating requires yearly inspections and each inspection is $300.00 That makes no sense to me, how can you offer a 5 year warranty and require an inspection each year at $300? That's a total of $1500 over 5 years.
What ceramic coating did you have installed?

I got the whole car PPF’d and went with Stek Dynomatt ... but what sold me was the detail and attention the installer/shop and it’s manager took with me walking over the whole car and explaining everything bout the product and why they recommend it ... they even compared the Stek vs couple other PPF matte options on the car itself and I was sold at how it did not change the texture or color of the OEM matte finish.. in fact it actually improved it and got rid of the orange peel finish of the matte paint .
The Stek PPF comes with a ceramic coating already so it’s hydrophobic .. only issue was the cost .. close to $7k to PPF the whole car but worth it

I did Xpel on the front bumper, front fenders, full hood, pillars next to the windshield and door handle cups. So all the areas of the car that will take a beating from rocks and sand on the road are protected. I might do some ceramic coating on the wheels and rest of the car at some point in the near future. I definitely recommend getting the front of the car covered though.

There are different grades as far as ceramic goes. Some require installers that have been approved by the brand or certified to install their coatings. CquartZ, Gyeon, etc. THere are many brands that make a quality product. Look around and visit the shops. Look at customer cars and ask around. See what others in the area are using.
I plan to have the entire front of the GSF done in PPF and then will apply ceramic over that as well for extra protection and shine.

I have the full front end PPF'd, which is definitely worth it in my opinion. I don't like the visible cut-off PPF line you can see on the partial 1/3 front. It's better to opt in for the full protection.
I'm not ceramic coated and don't care to be as I wash the car very regularly, so it stays relatively clean anyways. Although being ceramic coated would cut my wash times down, it's just not worth the $1k to me.

I nano-ceramic coated my entire car and couldn't be happier.
I PPF'ed my lights and bumpers and windshield as well.
Go for it, you won't be disappointed. Cleaning the car is so easy and the gloss is permanent.

Absolutely worth the investment IF you take care of your vehicle's exterior. I still get comments on how mine looks brand new even though it's a 2016.
I have the half PPF and Cquartz Finest applied professionally. I would go with more PPF if possible.

Worth taking a read for those that need to understand ceramic coating, costs, and technique.
