Reverse issue
Hi all,
I have noticed on 2 occasions something weird happening with my 2017 GS F. When I put it in reverse in my parent’s garage (not at my place where I normally park) it sometimes will not move at all even though it’s in reverse, the emergency brake is off, and my foot is off the brake. It is not until I give it some gas and an uncomfortable pop occurs where it will finally move in reverse. Note, this has happened about 4 times and it has only happened while I have been at my parents in the garage. There isn’t anything obstructing the car’s path. Do you have any idea of what this could be or how I can prevent it from happening again?

Was it wet out when you parked the car. If so the pads could be sticking to the rotors due to rust.

Hmm thanks for the feedback. That would actually make sense because I always wash my car when I go to my parents and leave it in the garage. I did not think wet wheels would cause this -- especially considering how harsh it is when it pops and I start going in reverse. So I guess to prevent it in the future I will drive around some afterwards.
Its normal. Its one of those annoyances with brembo brake pads.

Yep this is what I do after every wash just to avoid the brakes getting stuck. Annoying I know, but like I said above, its one of those things that's normal with the brembo brake pads. That and the ridiculous amount of brake dust they spew out.

Yes, it happens when I wash my car and not drive it but the same thing happens to my motorcycle as well.
