Subscription should have been enrolled and setup by your dealer's Delivery Specialist or Salesperson.
The 12 month clock starts when you get the car so be certain to get it cranking (pun intended) sooner than later.
You can press the overhead "SOS" button, the automated voice will ask "Is this an Emergency?" No, "Do you
want Enrollment?" Enrollment...then you have a live operator. Confirm e-mail with them and they will take you
through it. App is for Apple & Android, free for a year and you are opted out, if you don't answer the e-mail
or push the "SOS" button again it will all turn off.

Mike, I don't have a GS (have an ES), but I just went through all this. The dealer and I had all kinds of problems getting it set up and the Enform tech support people had to get involved. They even had to call me at home to get it all done as there were problems on their end. It doesn't always go like they say--push SOS and get authorized.
Once they got it taken care of, they had me remote start the car with my phone, then had me do it with the fob to verify all was good.
I would go back down and get them to help and call Enform if they have to and get it working. Like was said above, free year is running, so don't wait long.

Similar to using the app, the key fob remote start sometimes needs to car to have good (Safety Connect) reception where ever it's parked. I remember when I first attempted to use the key fob remote start feature on my 2015 GS, it wouldn't start since it was inside the garage. As soon as I parked outside and tried it again, it started right away.

We are all used to the instant gratification when pushing a fob button...the trunk pops open,
the doors lock with a light flash etc. What our brains must accommodate when using the
phone app is the latency time it takes for the signal to go 1) from the phone to the 3G signal,
2) to the internet, 3) to the car, 4) car to confirm valid signal, 5) car to respond and reply, 6)
confirmation to the phone... whew - 15 or more seconds!
Fob=short distance/short time Phone=long distance/longer time.
Basic logical & legal Remote Start operation dictates that the door are locked before starting.
When using the fob on every manufacturer I am familiar with you press the lock button first.
What can go wrong with the Lexus Enform Remote App is when the car is not locked...
Tapping Start Engine begins the 15 second cadence to start... fails because the door are unlocked...
Use Vehicle Status to check Lock...15 seconds to report...Tap Lock....15 seconds....Retry Start...15 sec.
When you are on a commuter train 10 miles away or in your 7th floor office or on a just landed airliner
the time element is of no consequence. When you're at a picnic and showing off the new toy...

Does that give useful range?

The fob Remote Start operates at a short range < '80 and takes a short time < 10 seconds.
The Phone App works anywhere you and the car have cell service, long distance and takes a long time > 10 seconds.
The Safety Connect enrollment provides the connection for the optional Remote Start App, $250/year after 12 month trial.
You do not need to buy the $350/year full package that includes Destination Assist (Live Operator) but the renewal
e-mail does not make that clear. Skip the e-mail and just press the "SOS" button overhead and speak with an
operator. Pay for what you're going to use, ie. 2 years of RS to finish your 3 year lease...$500

With your cell phone you can start the car any where (in the world literally). I am not a fan of factory remote due to useless range.

I just received an email from Lexus Enform saying that they were aware that customers were having problems getting Enform setup. And they extended the complimentary free subscription by 1 year! So 2 free years!!!

I have to try this. I hate the remote start via the App.
