XM Weather alerts 2014 GS
Hello Guys I have A question regarding the XM weather and Traffic. So I pay for the service and over the weekend in the north east we had a snowstorm the system alerted me of bad weather on Saturday ok fine, now today is Monday and the storm is gone why is it still alerting? the weather/traffic icon is red does take time to update. or is just delayed.
Thanks,
Thanks,

I can second what kpVision says. The weather service is terrible through XM radio. I had it in my ES and it would alert me of severe weather because of something in the next state. I think the problem is that the radius of the area that will trigger the car to alert you is huge. So if a storm passes through you have the alert for the storm. Then all the little alerts like local streams flooding will still trigger a severe alerts in the car for a few more days. Maybe somebody has more insight, this is just what I noticed where I live.
I will agree that the HD radio stuff seems nicer, though after 2.5 years of owning my 2015, I don't think I've ever seen a weather alert at all on it. It is nice to not have to pay extra for the service as well.
