Default December To Remember -- XM Trial

As part of the December to remember promotion Lexus is providing a 1 year trial of XM Radio versus the typical 3 month trial. Has anyone logged into their XM account and verified that you actually received this?

When I contacted XM to get credit for the remaining 2 years for the Lexus I was trading in, they told me that I only would be getting a 90 day trial on the XM Radio and a 1 year trial on Nav Weather and Traffic. I got back to Lexus and they sent me a picture of their advertising that states otherwise. They told me to get back to them if my service stops in 90 days.

To eliminate any confusion, I told XM not to give me a credit on my account, but to just refund my money and that I would sign up again when the trial ends.

So it looks like I might be caught in the middle between the two companies. I am just curious if I am a single instance or if this has happened to others who purchased in December. If I am not alone there will be a lot of unhappy people in March when their service unexpectedly stops!!!

I was wondering about this myself. I just bought a new Lexus on December 2nd and it was my understanding that the XM radio, along with the Lexus destination assist, was free for the first 12 months. Now, I don't know that I have that in writing anywhere. If I remember, I'll ask the next time I'm at the dealer.

I have this subscription. I thought the 1-year free subscription was given to all new Lexus buyers. I didn't know it was a special for the December sales promotion. Anyway, I have it.

I logged onto the various sites (Lexus Driver.com, SiriusXM, Lexus Enform, etc.). I setup my account, put in the VIN, and it shows I have a subscription until 11/2014.

My wife and I love the SiriusXM. Even though we don't use this car a lot, I'm sure I will renew when the time comes.

I bought my 2014 RX 350 on 9/30/13. It came with:

SiriusXM™ Satellite Radio SXM All Access Package - 90 Days Trial

SiriusXM Data Services Package: NavTraffic™, NavWeather™ & Travel Link - 1 Year Trial.

That is what the window sticker says. But the December To Remember literature says that vehicles purchased during that sales event receive the All Access Package for 1 year. Apparently, at least in my case, someone forgot to tell XM!

I asked a sales person at the Lexus dealer today and he confirmed that the XM radio trail is for 12 months as a special December to Remember deal.

Same here. Just picked up a new GS during December to Remember. Dealer says I have 1 yr XM, but when I log into their website it is up in 3 months (and the daily XM upsell calls don't help my mood about it either...). Apparently my dealer is "looking into it."

Did you ever get this resolved? I have yet to get this resolved with my dealer and my service will end in 10 days instead of 9 months from now. I plan to call Lexus Customer Service on Monday to see if they can help.

Sort of. When my SiriusXM turned off, I called the sales guy who put me in touch with the dealer tech support specialist. He was able to call Sirius and added 2 months, but said that it would be for 1 yr it just had to go through an approval process (though it's been a week with no news). I think they may have been more accommodating than usual because I'm in the process of buying another car from them.
