Roll Windows Down Remotely

Greetings... I was told that our vehicles had the ability to remotely roll down windows and open the sunroof. Is that true? I have 2013 GS350 AWD.

Looks like there maybe alot that may be customized.
Has anyone tried https://caristaapp.com/ ?

Google also came back that the dealership could enable the option.

Let us know how it goes, whatever path you take.

I had the dealership set that up on my GS350 ten years ago. It’s nice to be able to open the windows and sunroof from a distance on a hot day when it has been sitting in the sun. Unfortunately, it only works from a distance of about ten yards.

It may be possible to crack open the module that detects the remote and extend the antenna. Some important things though are to know what frequency the remote broadcasts so the new extension can be made to the appropriate length.

I had the same issue on my Gmt400 Chevrolet, as many others do, that the remote locks only work from about 20' from the truck. After I soldered on an extension wire of about 8' long, snaked it up the A-pillar, and put it in the roof I had about 100' range on a new remote battery.

Nott sure if the lexus remotes are able to be boosted, likely not. We've tried our Chevrolet remotes but the difference is negligible.

Any documents available on the location of the module that detects the remote? Anyone ever broke one open?

Be careful with this feature, I once accidentally opened all my windows and sunroof in a rainstorm when my car was parked outside.

Range of the Lexus key fobs is published as being '80. I thought it was an urban myth
but if you hold the fob under your chin it seems to use your skull and bones as some sort
of parabolic reflector to slightly increase the range.
I've had all my kids already but you are all free to try this technique and report back.
