Intake
I have a 2014 GS350 F-Sport and I recently installed the K&N Performance Air Intake, but was hoping for Takeda Cold Air Intake System. Being that I am based in CA, I couldn't order it.
I am thinking out loud and trying to be creative. Would it be possible to order K&N UNIVERSAL CLAMP-ON AIR FILTER, remove the Intake Box and replace the square Filter with the cone filter?
Pros and Cons? I am doing it for the aesthetics as well as hoping to hear the "suction" sound a bit louder.
Any recommendations?
Thanks!

Short ram intake would probably offer you the best of suction sound.
I found this with a quick Google search: https://hpsperformanceproducts.com/p...350-v6-827-682

Street Legal In All US States: No
California Restricted: Not legal for sale or use in California
That's why I am trying to be creative and mimic the HPS or Takeda Intake styles
@dezymond Thanks. But, I am in CA and these aren't legal here.

That's true, but I've already purchase the K&N and have had it installed for a while now. I'd rather modify it with a cone filter and spend $50-60 versus purchasing the Takeda and spending $400+
