Default '16 base - bumper replacement

Hey all,

The damage is along the bumper and the chrome lining - see attached image.

Would the part 52119-3F935 be all I need to fix the damage?

Also, I could take this as an opportunity to convert the front facia to f-sport. What items would that require?

Any help would be appreciated.

@Lexus4lyf That bumper you mentioned in your screenshot will likely work - but will need to be painted (and obviously installed) as most dealers and aftermarket places do not paint the bumpers before shipping.

Conversion to the F-Sport bumper and grille is certainly possible with the 2016+ if you want to go that route. See this helpful post: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...l#post11063090

Maybe a good local body shop can give you a quote.

I'd price-out getting your existing bumper repaired vs getting a new OEM base bumper painted/installed, vs getting a new OEM f-sport bumper painted installed, vs getting an aftermarket bumper installed. I think you'll be in for at least $1000 if you need to buy an OEM F-sport bumper and accompanying grilles.

The body shop might be able to repair the existing bumper for half that cost.

Sorry to see that damage. I happened to order the F-Sport grille replacement parts last night. Here's what you'll need, copied from my order confirmation from Bell Lexus that is running a 15% tax day discount for a few days.

Part # - Quantity - Price - Description (added detail from me)

5310130890 - 1 - $ 501.97 - Grille (F-Sport with holes for parking sensors. 5310130880 is the part # without holes for parking sensors.)

5281130020 - 1 - $ 37.88 - Radiator Support Air Duct (to attach to the new garnishes listed below)

5281230020 - 1 - $ 37.88 - Radiator Support Air Duct (to attached to the new garnishes listed below)

5314230150 - 1 - $ 87.45 - Grille (plastic side garnish used on F-Sport)

5314130350 - 1 - $ 87.45 - Grille (plastic side garnish used on F-Sport)

You only really need the first item, the main grille assembly. The remaining four items are for the side grille "garnishes" that differ between the F-Sport and non F-Sport models.

Removal videos if needed. These are not specifically for 2016+ but between both of these, you should have a decent guide:

Thanks for the advice. I was under the impression that the bumper would have to be replaced regardless, even at a local body shop. It's fixing it possible without replacing it? But good to know, I'll definitely ask around.

I completed the grille swap and I wanted to add two notes if doing this as a DIY:

1. If you plan to swap over the "L" emblem, there are one-time use push nuts holding the top on. You will need to cut those off with a rotary cutter and either purchase new push nuts or drill a small hole in the mounting post and use cotter pins and washers/rubber washers to secure the emblem.

2. The non F-Sport bumper will need two additional holes drilled (for an additional mounting point) to mount the lower left and right garnishes. There's a guide on the backside of the bumper that shows where to cut. There appears to be an attachment clip as well, I haven't had a chance to look that up but I used some double sided tape to ensure a secure, permanent fit.

I can take some but its nothing special, just a non-Sport before and a F-Sport after, looks like any other example out there. I'll be adding some light tint on the DRLs shortly so I will have a photo once its done that I can post.

@BMGS looks great! Did you ever consider doing the fog lamp install (e.g https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...ml#post9523408) ?

Thanks! Ive seen that but it doesn't appeal to me for whatever reason. I'm focused on the rear now, likely GSF tail lamps, let me know if you want my 2016+ tail lamps, they will be up for sale once the GSF ones come in.
