"Thousands" that is a massive rip off.

The clock for 2013-2015 is $262.21 here:

Or you can buy used ones on eBay for less. The removal and install is a 30 minute job.

@LazE They are overcharging for labor as always with the dealership. Here is my write-up on replacing the center clock (you can get the clock much cheaper from eBay Toyota/Lexus dealers in the UAE if you're open to that): https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...l#post11067978

I was quoted au $660 to fix mine. The missus told me to just reset it before she gets in. That is my job now

I repaired a spare used clock.
Clock has been carefully taken apart and repaired. There is a plastic gear that dislodges from a magnet inside the clock that causes it to stop keeping time correctly. I took the clock apart and super glued the gear shaft into the magnet to permanently fix the clock.

$80

@peasodos what do you think causes that gear to get dislodged? Any chance it has to do with replacing the car battery which causes the clock to temporarily stop?

I think whatever Toyota/Lexus used to bond the two parts together eventually fails. Changing the battery has nothing to do with this, if you had this happen after changing the battery it's probably just pure coincidence.

It will sell eventually. My own 2013 clock that I retrofitted the 2016 face and needles recently wasn’t keeping up with time, so I fixed it.

I think all the 2013-2014 clocks will have this problem seems like 7-10 years is when this happens.
