This is the one I have, no rear view though. But I didn't need it, just thought it was a "nice-to-have" gadget. A dashcam is useful in the event of an accident, but you can't plan for those events so it's moot...
I looked for reviews on YouTube and the Aukey was recommended, especially for South Florida heat. The Viofo A129 above was also one of the top recommended units, but like you, I wanted to lean more to the inexpensive side of things. Happy shopping!
Edit: Also pick up an SD card rated for this type of use, in the heat.

Yup I have this exact same one. Really ez to install with the rain sensor piggy back plug adapter. However, I keep wanting to upgrade to a higher res one as license plate number are hard to see unless the car is right in front of you...worse at night.
Once the Viofo one is one sale (lowest price was $190 according to camelx3), I might pull the trigger.

Yeah, license plate number is a must have.
I saw many have the super capacitors are better. I've been searching for a dashcam but on Amazon almost all have some really bad comments. I guess nothing is near perfect?

there was a pretty big thread on dashcams before i would take a look at that.. also there's dashcamtalk forums which has pretty extensive list of dashcam that are being discussed. I think Viofo dashcams are currently the best value ones..

Do any of these run off rechargeable batteries? Something I can easily remove and recharge in my house. I would rather not try to hard wire it. My car is always garaged so I don't need 24/7 recording.
I have the Rexing V1 4k in my GS and I love it. Quality product. It's able to pick up plate numbers. I'll upload a few clips a bit later but I did upload a breakup that my cam caught. Garage is lit but not super bright. Caught a burglar breaking into my detach garage.
