Default Headlight vibration

So this is a weird one that I cannot put my finger on -

Last night I pulled into my driveway behind my black Miata. Turned the car off and got out to unload groceries. I thought I was in a twilight zone episode as I saw vibrating lights reflecting off the back of the car. I then saw vibrating lights on the side of my house and my yard. It was coming from the headlights. I've only had the car for a few weeks and never noticed it before. Again - I thought I was nuts until my wife gets our, walks up to the house, turns to me and says "Your headlights are shaking"
  • Car turned off
  • Headlights still on as they normally are
  • Very weird
Any thoughts or ideas?

Sounds like headlight flickering. You're either not getting enough voltage to the ballasts from low battery or your ballasts maybe going bad. If the flickering goes away with the car running, it probably is just the battery.

When I had the HID version, I had the flickering problem too. I thought it was shaking, but in reality it was flickering. Probably due to the issues listed above.
