Default BSM Error Message Master Warning Light

2013 Lexus GS350 Ok... so I put a new BSM replacement mirror glass in and everything moves like normal with mirror switch but now I have a master warning light on saying Blind Spot Monitor malfunction. Didn't have any issue before other than a crack in the mirror. Replacement appears identical with all connections the same. What gives??

Please go back and recheck the plug-in electrical connectors on the rear of the mirror glass. One is for the BSM warning light in the upper corner of the mirror glass, it may be damaged or not securely connected. Also, are you certain the the mirror glass is correct for a vehicle with BSM?

Connections are tight and can only go one way. As far as being right,, bought off ebay as 13-15 mirror glass. Looks identical other than wire color

The BSM side mirrors are different after 2014+ vs 2013. The BSM light is wired opposite, I think the different colored wire is an indication of that.
You need to get an original 2013 side mirror or flip the wiring for the light otherwise you'll keep getting this error.

I had to flip the wiring for the BSM light when I retrofitted the 2014+ power folding side mirrors into my 2013.

I had to flip the wiring on both sideds, but both mirrors were the same wiring. I'm not sure if having two different mirrors and flipping the wiring on one side will work, but worth a try.

What seller did you buy from? I also had to replace a mirror on one side that cracked.

Ebay seller "Auctiondeal Online". So far he has been great to work with. Sending me a new mirror with same colored wires and letting me send original mirror back after I receive replacement.

So I get another mirror sent to me with right colored wires,, same yr etc and still getting bsm monitor error. Worked just fine prior to replacing cracked mirror. Any ideas? Pretty sure all wires are making contact as they were never stressed

Is it possible I hard reset like battery disconnect could remedy the problem? Needs a "clear" since it has been master warned?

Hi Peasodos,
May I ask how did you flipped the wire of the mirror? I’m in the same situation and the color of the wiring is different. Do I simply flip the connector on the same set of wire or do I need to switch the two different set of wires? Much appreciated for your reply!
