Default Pads and Rotors rec. ?

Its time for me to get new front rotors and pads all the way around. It's a '15 GS350 F-Sport with AWD (so 1-piece front rotor) . I've got the common cold squeal going on. So far its seems the popular choice is Centric rotors 44184 & 44185 and Akebono pads 1118 and 1391. Anyone have objections to these products or are there better options currently? Thank you

Centric and Akebono are good standard aftermarket brands to go with. The only other aftermarket recommendation I would have are ATE rotors (i only got this brand because the Centric rotors were out of stock when I needed them and my trusted mechanic gave ATE a thumbs up).

ATE is a sub-brand of Continental, the big euro company that makes excellent tires and slew of other automotive stuff. If your budget allows, you can always go OEM as well...online Lexus dealerships like www.mylparts.com offer a clublexus discount of 10% on OEM Lexus parts with code CL5.

Thanks for the heads up! Where did you source the ATE rotors from? I've tried even finding a good ATE part# for my application but no results so far.

Just to clarify, but I assume you're looking at the 120.44184/85 rotors (Centric Premium) and not the 121.44184/85 rotors (Centric C-Tek)? It's definitely worth a few extra dollars to get the premiums over the standards. For your pads, the Akebonos are great; I tend to run the Centric Posi-Quiet Ceramic pads to keep it all in the family. I've installed the Centric combo listed here in 15+ family/friend vehicles over the years and have never had a single issue or complaint.

I have a '15 GS350 F-Sport AWD (1 piece front rotor) and I have Carquest Wearever rotors with Akebono ceramic pads all around from Advance Auto Parts. The initial break-in period was a little noisy, but once that went away (500 mi ish) it's been perfect for me. The break-in may have taken longer because I installed everything at the beginning of winter and the cold mornings probably caused a lot of the noise. Once the brakes warmed up...everything was quiet. It's still winter, the mornings are even colder, but I don't hear a single peep from either corner of the car. The initial bite isn't as strong as the OEM pads and rotors, but once you give it consistent pressure, it stops better that stock to me. The brake dust is non existent if that's a big thing for you. Just my two pennies.

I believe ATE only makes 1 piece rotors for the AWD application (if you have a RWD F Sport with the 2 piece you may be outta luck). My local mechanic sourced it from a local parts department. Here are some online sources:Places like JC Whitney may also stock them.

That particular part pulls up as a rear rotor. I believe the front rotors are left and right specific. They do seem like a nice rotor but the dropdown menu's are not pulling front ATE rotors.

Yeah I noticed that as well. I got mine from a local parts store, so i'm not sure if ATE/sellers aren't selling front rotors anymore or just aren't selling it direct to the consumer/online. If I were looking for rotors now and couldn't find the ATE's easily, i'd go with Centric or OEMs.
