Default Time to replace pads and rotors

Hello CL
my 2011 gs350 AWD with 49K miles
the pads are more than half way worn and the rotors seem ok but have some ridges
any members have experience with aftermarket pads and rotors?
my car sits on 20" silver wheels so I would like to get pads with low dust.
OEM pads and rotors are doing well but i never had any experience with high end aftermarket pads and rotors.
I really like the slotted and drilled rotors but never used them before. Any particular brand of pads and rotors are good quality? Any members have them on please chime in.

1. do all OEM parts?
2. do aftermarket rotors with OEM pads?
3. or do all high end aftermarket parts?

Any help is much appreciated

I have a 2006 GS430 and I did aftermarket cross drilled and slotted rotors with aftermarket ceramic pads. I have no issues. Even though Ceramic has low brake dust, I have brake dust on mine (I'm guessing because its the brand that came with the rotors). If you want good brake pads with little to no brake dust at all! Then I will go with Posiquiet Brake Pads. These are great ceramic pads! I have them on my BMW 7 series with BBS Wheels. The reason why I got them was because BBS RC's are a pain in the butt to clean when they get dirty! Hope this helps!

Also, use CRC disc brake quiet and Permatex High temp brake grease! These will eliminate any brake squeal and noise!

I would suggest Akebino brake pads ( tirerack has them) very little dust same stopping power as oem.
For rotors I would suggest oem.
