I am rolling up to my 60k service interval and I was going to change the spark plugs on my own. I was wondering which spark plugs would be the best to replace for the gs f sport. Many are saying to go with the with oem densos ofhers are recommending NGK plugs. Does anyone know if there’s a difference and how difficult is it to change them?
I’m not sure on the other Lexus models but on the maintenance guide for the GS350 it states to change them every 60,000 miles, so I’m just try to follow guidelines so I can make the car last long as possible

While the 'service interval' may be 60k miles for changing spark plugs, there is no harm in not changing them...unlike other service items like engine oil, filters and various fluids. If you want to follow the recommended service intervals for spark plugs, that's perfectly fine...but those OE spark plugs will still be performing just like new ones far beyond double the recommended service interval. Iridium spark plugs will last well over 200k miles with no diminish in fuel mileage or performance.
Replacing the spark plugs at 60k miles is 'Required under the terms of the Emission Control Warranty'. Therefore, if you are not concerned with voiding the Emission Control Warranty, then there is no need to replace the spark plugs. I personally would not replace the spark plugs.
I changed mines yesterday, and my spark plug have oil on the side. so I recommend doing it. I did my diff fluid too and it got a lot of shaving in it. ima do my tranny fluid this week mybe. people say no ned to do it but its my car and I want to keep this long term.

Oh I meant diff and tranny fluid diys. Didn’t see them on diy dan’s page but maybe I missed it. I am interested in painting calipers but not sure anything but black looks good on usb.

diff is easier than changing spark plug u just need 10mm hex socket 36 ftlb of toruq
