Daylight Saving Time begins this weekend. Don't forget that you have two (2) changes to make to your 2013 - 2015 Lexus GS - setting the Lexus analog dash clock forward one hour, and also turning 'On' the DST for the Navigation system. The Navigation system does not automatically change to DST. I've been told that beginning in 2016 the analog clock [somehow] automatically changes.

To set the NAV system for DST:
Go to Menu > Setup > General > System Time > Daylight Saving Time > On > Save

Can anyone confirm if the analog clock (and/or NAV) automatically changes to DST in the 2016+ GS?

My DST was in the "off" mode so once I switched to "on" mode it set the correct time.

So, for the 2016+ GS you must first manually set the NAV for DST and then the analog dash clock automatically adjusts itself to the correct DST time. Thanks for that update...

Daylight savings needs to go. Waking up this morning to complete darkness was simply depressing, and it was apparent that a great number of fellow drivers in my commute were sleep-deprived and not paying attention.

In Arizona, we do not observe DST, except in the Native American nations. One of the few things this state does right.

Haven't even paid attention to my car. No idea what the time in the car says. I'll remember to check it at lunchtime.

/political rant/ (stop reading if you easily get offended)

They did this to reduce power consumption (thus lowering greenhouse gases, blah blah blah). If you're a "climate change/global warming" pumper, maybe change your stance. We got 12" of snow yesterday. GLOBAL WARMING!!!!!!1111!!!!!!!111!!!!111

/end political rant/

And it was 73 here in Seattle yesterday. New record for the earliest in the year we've ever hit that high.

I like DST. Without it, it would be light here before 4 am in the summer. Wakes the kids up...

Though I certainly agree it doesn't make sense in all parts of the country.
