Default 2014 GS Tire Replacement

Hi All,
I was looking for replacing the tires on my GS that has staggered wheel configuration. I want to get some Ultra High-Performance All-Season
Front: 235/40R19 96Y XL
Rear: 265/35R19 94Y
The options are very limited on this weird configuration and there are only Max Performance Summer tires available

In order to get more options, I was thinking of going 1 size above the OEM to get some options for Ultra High-Performance All-Season
Front: 245/40R19 98Y XL
Rear: 275/35R19 96Y

I wanted to know what are the Pros and Cons of moving 1 size up from the manufacturer's recommended. I am also open to suggestions with other tire sizes.
My choices with 1 size up the manufacturer are below in order:
1. Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+
2. Pirelli P Zero All Season Plus
3. Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06
4. Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric All-Season

you should be fine going up a size. im going to do the same when i news new tires. the only downside i can think of is your spedometer will be slightly off, not enough to make any noticeable difference though.

Godyear F1s were what I settled with. Search my posts...I posted an extensive research thread explaining it all...

Tirebuyer.com running promotion $100 off and $70 rebate for a set of 4 Michelin tires.
For example: I tried a set of AS3+ for front and rear come out $937.88 - $100 - $75 = $762.88 before tax and installation.

Edit: Or eBay have 15% eBay buck for auto parts, expired tomorrow, you save even more than $100 (if you don't mind eBay buck).

Only problem with online like Tirerack is if you have warranty issues (or anything you need the installer for later). Mind you they charge for everything else too. Mounting. Balancing. Sensor replacement. Disposal. Usually ends up being very close to if you just get the same tires from the installer.

Tirebuyer charges tax in my state so the $100 off and shipping was essentially washed by the tax.

discount tire direct is running a promo right now.

https://www.discounttiredirect.com/p...medium=display

they don't charge tax for certain states, and i believe it is free delivery to discount tires (american tires). i haven't run the numbers since i'm not in need of tires yet, but the promo + no tax savings seems like it'd be beat a lot of the available prices right now.

Finally bought Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+. Got them from Tirerack for $889 and the installation is $120 plus $150 wheel alignment.
Will update how the ride quality is when i have driven atleast 500 miles on them.

Tirerack charges tax in my state. The best deal I found for Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ was Simpletire.com for $938 plus you get a $70 mail in rebate and a $50 Amazon gift card

So I just got a 2015 F-sport in November of last year, and still have my potenzas, hoping I can change them out before winter. However, I used to have a 2008 IS350 and have tried 3 of the 4 tires listed, they were some of the older versions, but here are my notes:

1. Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3 - I absolutely loved these tires. They were very predictable, let you drift a little without feeling out of control but yet very accurate. Also, they were ridiculously grippy off the line. I really felt like my car had a completely different driving experience on these. Am eagerly waiting to put them on my GS.
2. Pirelli P Zero All Season Plus - Have't had any experience with these.
3. Continental ExtremeContact - Not bad, but I felt like the traction control went on too easily with these when taking a turn/curve aggressively, so they kind of pissed me off.
4. Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric All-Season - Good for the money. You can feel that the rubber is not as good as the Michelins. Sticky, but kind of bland when pushed to the edge. I wished they let go of the grip a little bit so you could have fun in sharp turns.

Hi MustangSal -- Hoping you can help me here...Recently purchased a 2013 GS350 F Sport "AWD"....and also purchased new used GY Asymmetric F1 All Season tires...Unfortunately I didn't realize the AWD model required 235/40/19 on all 4 wheels and instead installed 235/35/19 on the front and 235/40/19 on the back....

So my question is, will this be a safety issue in your opinion and should I replace the front w/ the 235/40/19?

Thanks a lot
Chad
