What have you been able to find for the cheapest prices for these part? Only a new door switch group and two actuators are needed for this mod? I'm sort of interested in attempting this as my passenger actuator is apparently malfunctioning and won't adjust horizontally. Is the folding motor part of the actuator part? Do the door panels have to come off to swap the actuator?

rx350 on left and gs350 on right

back of both panels

when removing the gs350 switches from the panel you get the switches themselfs but when removing the rx350 u get the switches and this extra case that you remove in order to fit your gs350 panel
Hello I’m new here. But I’m very curious to know how this project panned out?

People have had great success with this project. The hardest part might be sourcing the parts at the right price.

I've been able to source all the parts and have verified it all works but just have not had the time to do the project.

I'm also using a RX350's window switch.

im sure it all worked out the buttons are exactly the same. You can probably swap the internal motor/wires from an RX mirror or another Lexus power folding mirror because that might be the same also. Of course it’s a lot of extra work.

It's an easy mod if you've taken the door panel off.

One tip to reinstalling the door panel. Unclip the seal that presses against the window. Then install that in the window frame. Then line up the door panel and press it into the door. If you do it this way it will go back together easy.

For removal there is one screw under the door switch. One under the felt where you grab the door. One behind the plastic panel in the door release latch. Once the screws are out just yank on it from the base and work your way to the top.

If you remove the door panel a few times the clips get worn out and need replacing otherwise it won't sit flush. I just buy replacement clips on eBay so I know it's a factory tight fit every time. Lol, hopefully this is the last time i take my door panel off.
Another thank you to Peasodos! When I bought my car I noticed the front door panels were not on properly and I was trying to track down some rattles. I took off the drivers door panel and had a hell of a time lining it back up and it still didn't go on right. It was missing a couple of clips and other were worn. I just got in the new clips and popped the panel back off. Taking the window liner off and installing it on the door before putting on the door panel saved me! On another note I found something to update on the rattle fix thread.

just gotta be lucky and find the parts at a cheap price.. i was able to score newer mirror sets on facebook marketplace for a great deal.. others have looked on ebay and dismantlers/ppl parting out, ect...
if there are things on your 13 mirror that you can swap over to the newer one - that might make it cost less - like the mirror caps/glass..

Does anyone have their old 13 mirrors laying around.

I would be interested in buying your old parts

You will have better outcomes by browsing eBay or searching around in junk yards.

I have the parts from my 2013, minus the glass. I believe I also have the master window switch. I'll get back home on Wednesday and I can PM you pictures if you are interested.

You can post the images here . Thanks.

But I would need the glass as well. It's important.

My old mirror is for sale, 10/10 condition with bad glass.

Are the inside motors swappable from the passenger and drivers side. Are they the same part number ?
