It's the best reassurance to know your car is locked when you walk away from it.

Regular.

Are the inside motors swappable from the passenger and drivers side. Are they the same part number ?

Need some help. I want to do this mod, but have heated, memory, and BSM also. Will these not work?

The mirror is clipped in . Pop it out straight towards you. The rest is very obvious.

My 2012 GS has this.
And I’ve disabled the function of course because it’s silly and just a cause for issues especially in the winter.

Take the screws out.
Then you have to take apart the plug/harness, it's three pieces that clip together.
The plug will only go through the base of the side mirror if it's broken down.

This will all make sense when you actually take it apart.

I did the same thing for both side mirrors.

do the heated mirror wire come apart on the mirror seems like it glued onto the mirror

I was trying to do this over the weekend for the second time (first mirror turned out to be an aftermarket one). The connector that is being blocked is what @peasodos was saying you need to disassemble so that you're able to slide the wires out of the base. I think sanding and spraying the base while connected is easier so I left it on. Also, just to further confirm, you need to reuse the glass from your 13 mirrors in order to not get the BSM error. This makes it hard to use aftermarket for this mod as I found out BSM works temporarily but eventually errors out.

but the bottom base is metal tho unless u use a drill and drill the hole to make it bigger i dont see how the conenctor going to slid out the of the metal case. LOL lucky i took my mirror apart to see if i can take it apart and swipe the stuff. ima return the one i brought since its different color and buy a same color mirror

You need to depin / repin the connector. I had to do this because I sourced the motors only and re-used all my original housing on my 13 F-sport. The only reason I did this was because the cars been custom re-painted, bases wouldn't match and did want to go through the trouble of painting again etc...
