Default No Car Go

Pressed the ignition and the car did not turn over but the dash and parking lights light up, the engine and battery lights were on, After a couple of attempts the car did turn over about 7 or 8 times and then the engine fired up. I shut it down after a minute of running and started it and the car started with no issues. Anyone experience similar start-up issues? Is there something I need to be concerned about?

Have you checked the battery?

He was be able to turn on the car. I think it is more of the ignition system. Take to a shop or dealer for inspection.

Thanks - yeah the dash and interior/exterior lights showed no fade. So was thinking alternator or a battery short somewhere.

Could it be a dead spot on the starter?

Sounds like the battery itself is the culprit. Possibly the battery is significantly drained, or a couple of cells have shorted.

A quick call to the dealer, confirms what you are saying. Or at least the battery is in an end of life mode.
