So my 3 month trial expiring soon and I am considering keeping NavTraffic.

I don't listen to XM much as I use Pandora, MP3 most of the times.

Looks like it's $3.99 a month.

Anyone subscribing NavTraffic only??

i never found it be accurate enough to care to use it. never renewed it.

 

When we had our RX we did this. We didn't use satellite radio but did like having the traffic function, so we just subscribed to that.

 

The GS didn't get HD traffic/weather until model year 2015.

Can anyone with 14 or 15 model confirm if you're getting Traffic information with out XM subscription????

 

Partially true but not for the GS. The 2014 IS, CT, NX, GX and RC all gained Traffic/Data built-in because the navigation unit was upgraded to Gen8 from Gen7 (XM kind). The 2015 ES, GS, LS all got Gen8.

 

I have a '15 and I do not use Nav Traffic, I get traffic through the enform app on my iPhone, which connects to the car through Bluetooth. This is NOT the enform app. that you have to pay a subscription for. The traffic information is very accurate. I also stream Pandora through the same app.

I have a '14 and is this something new to the '15? I'm not aware of any way to get it via the free Enform app in the '14.

I do not use the nav traffic, $4/month isn't worth it to me when I can get more up-to-date and easier-to-use via my phone's apps. I also rarely use live navigation, and especially rarely use it in the car. It's just so much faster to load up in Google maps on the phone. Mostly I check traffic, establish which route, then crank up the music and go.

 

I have a '14 and have had nav traffic its useless only because it does not reroute you to a better solution like Acura or BMW and I had the XM subscription.

I'd rather use google maps/waze.

 

You don't have to have an xm subscription on 2015 or newer, traffic and weather are free

 

I'd rather use google maps than spend $3.99 a month for that.
