Default Mobile Phone Placement

I'm trying to think of good spots to place my phone in the GS. Where do guys put you phone when you are driving without using any type of aftermarket mounts?

I have a magnetic mount that suctions to the windshield in the top left corner. Works great. It's called the IMagnet Cradleless Car Mount. About $17 on Amazon.

On the door. My iPhone 6S fits nicely in the spot where you pull to close the door. Also helps me to remember to take my phone when leaving the car.

If you listen to loud music with bass that'd cause a rattle, otherwise yeah i guess it isn't a bad spot, but you cant see anything on your phone if its there

OP i put it in the cup holder, works okay. Sometimes it falls down when I drive over a bump or turn too strong

I did cup holder for about a year. Got to be too annoying. I went with a Proclip solution and happy I did. More expensive than other solutions but seems to do the job better than most.

Are you against using an aftermarket mount?

In the door handle pocket when I don't need to charge it. I close the cup holder on the console and put it there when I do need to charge it on long trips. Mine has a silicone rubber cover on it so it does not slide around.

Yes. The interior looks clears without a mount.

The slot at the door handle is too narrow for my iphone 6 Plus, as I prefer putting the phone horizontally if I were to put it at that location. For now I guess I can only put the phone in the cup holder, may eventually have to just get a aftermarket mount.

I put my iPhone 7 plus there as well. Kinda sticks out but doesn't fall out. Like you mentioned it helps me remember to take my phone when exiting the vehicle.
