I used the Enform Remote app to start the car today.

When I walked out to my car, I noticed that my rear window was defrosting.

Question: does the car auto sense the temperature and turn on the defroster, A/C, etc?

I liked it.. only thing I didn't like is that it turns off when I unlocked the car..

Still can't believe heated seats are not standard on this $50k+ car...

I know in my RCF if I leave the HVAC on auto then yes it does what it needs to AC if the car is hot, Heat/defrost if it is cold.


if I leave the HVAC on manual then it does whatever setting I left it on.

 

Heated seats is not standard...its part of the Luxury Package and F Sport

wow no heated seats that's crazy. even the aftermarket starters I sell for our car will turn on heated seats if left on

 

Most people get the Premium package, F-sport, or Luxury package...which all include heated seats. Surprised this dealer offers a car without one of these packages.

 

When I was at my dealer a couple weeks ago they had two '15 GS350s without heated seats. I was somewhat surprised to see this. They both had stickers of $52k.

 

Even Hyundai offers heated seats as standard on almost all their models...and the rear seats are heated too. Personally I would not want a vehicle without heated seats...and where I drive it's rarely very cold.

I have a GS 2013 with a remote start that I had installed at the dealer when I bought the car CPO.. it doesnt turn on my heated seats or rear defroster.. is there a way to have it automatically come on? I didnt even see a setting via the carista app..

 

Unless you keep your heated seats on before shutting off the car, then there isn't a way to remotely turn on the heated seats and rear defroster. Some people have complained that their seat options don't remain the same after shutting off the car, but that can be changed. Rear defroster unfortunately turns off every time you shut off the car and won't re-engage unless you press the button.
