Interior Ambient Lighting
Hi guys. Future owner here (not sure when... I just know the 4GS will be my next car).
I did quite a bit ofsearch, but I couldn't find anything definitive... so I was wondering if anyone would be able to take pics or video of the ambient lighting in their 4GS? I'm curious as to how intense it is, how it looks in the dark, etc.
I'd certainly appreciate any information that can be provided.

The ambient lighting is very subtle. Some people don't even notice it. Lexus has it set to dim when put into any gear except park, which can't be changed. Color is white, and cannot be changed like in some other luxury cars.
Thanks for the info, guys.
popping, I PROMISE I did several searches with that exact string and several variants ('ambient lighting gs', 'ambient gs', etc...). I guess my search skills aren't up to snuff.

I wish it could be hacked and have the Park brightness all the time.
Most of the luxury cars have two or more colors, you can adjust the brightness in multiple steps, etc. Lexus is sticking with the 20th century technology

Agreed. My brother has an X5 and you can play around with various color combinations of the ambient lighting and it shows up way better than my GS
Has anyone figured out how to increase / intensify the brightness of the white ambient lighting on the door panels & floor??
Wondering if the dealer would be able to do that or maybe even a Lexus indy shop..

Lexus always lags behind the absolute latest trends (except for maybe the LS), but that's part of the secret to reliability. Everything they put in their new models has been perfected in the market for several years before they touch it.
