People that are late to discover this have not experienced the term 'pedal-to-the metal' - as in applying ~100lbs+ of pushing effort with the right leg and foot on the throttle pedal to make the car go F-A-S-T! It's hard for me to believe that any red-blooded boy has not done this within the first 3 days of driving a car after first obtaining their drivers license. Oh well...
It's hard for me to believe Lexus designed it this way. Throttle response should be linear and predictable. It's obvious to me that Lexus still has a problem getting away from treating the car as if the blue haired ladies are the target audience (as in they don't want to scare them with too much power, so they make the full throttle power a secret that you have to learn about on the forum).
This Full Throttle Mode -- is it just in the 14? Cos I tried it in my 13 and nothing seemed to happen?
Its there. When the car is off... gently push down on the gas pedal all the way. Once you reach resistance if you push the pedal further you will feel a click. Thats the button, the kick down switch.
When you are accelerating... push the pedal all the way down then click on the button. It will switch force the transmission to downshift to a lower gear.
Not sure. I know tranny is different but can't imagine the pedal assembly being different. Most throttle by wire assemblies have the kick down switch nowadays.
Is there anyone that has a 13 model with knowledge of what we are talking about that can chime in?
A small thing, but I like how after using the windshield washer, a few seconds later the wipers will make one more sweep to rid the excess that always runs down your clean glass. Saves having to go back and do it yourself. Someone was thinking.
The small hidden compartment in the left trunk floor....where I found the owners manual after buying the car used and making the dealer buy me another one. Anyone need an owners manual? Hahaha

Thanks, I tried but couldn't get it to work. I pushed down slowly as you suggested all the way to the floor where it stopped, then pushed down REALLY hard, as hard as I could, but here was no click or anything.

13? I guess they did change the throttle pedal assembly. I'm due for my 5,000 free check up. I'll go check out some CPO 13s while I'm there.
BTW. Oil change is at 10,000 right? Do I even need to bring the car in for the 5,000 mile check?
