I'm interesting in tapping into the power for the dimming mirror to run a dashcam. I've heard of people doing this successfully just by poking a couple of small wires into the back of the connector. However, now that I look at where the connector is and how small it is, I'm not sure how to do it. It seems to be built into the part of the mirror assembly that's glued to the windshield, up near the headliner, and looks to be about the size of a micro-USB plug.

Has anyone done this successfully in a 4GS, and if so, how?
