Default Apps - do you use them

I absolutely love the idea of apps in my car. It's my favorite feature on my iPhone.

That being said, I have not found the current set of limited car apps useful yet.

Perhaps I am missing some neat things you can do with them.

Which ones do you like and what do you find useful to do with them?

I was stoked on the feature when I bought the car, but found using any app an inconvenience.

I wish there was a way to let the system know that a passenger is operating the apps so all functions are available while vehicle is moving.

I use pandora and iHeartRadio all the time, BUT the audio quality of the app's are terrible because it forces you to use bluetooth

I plug my phone into the car and run the app directly from my phone because the quality of the bluetooth audio is terrible compared to having it plugged in.

so far I have only used the saved destinations on the app suite with any success. Search for an address on my phone and sync it to the car is far easier than trying to input it manually in the car. Movie Tickets and open table seem like they could be useful but again it is easier to use them on the phone while parked. Nothing more than novelty at best if you ask me.

Saved destinations is the only one worth anything if you ask me.

How do you get an address into the saved destination?

Use saved destinations done on phone with Bing and stream Pandora. Sounds great when streamed in my car.

Way too tedious, especially compared to using a smartphone.

I primarily use Pandora and Bing, sometimes iHeartRadio.

Voice search w/ Bing is the best way to use it. You get really good results and its easier/faster than trying to type w/ the mouse. I just wish were was a way to add a short cut to go directly an app without digging into all the ridiculous menus. It would make using them much more useful.

Nah, bluetooth audio from Pandora sounds great in my car. There's an option buried in the Enform phone app for Pandora to use high quality audio and it's disabled by default because it eats more data. Then again, maybe your phone has weak Bluetooth capabilities. My HTC One M7 handles everything the car can throw at it minus one option. Lexus has a breakdown of which phones can do what on their website.

Anyway, try tweaking Pandora via Enform on your phone and see if it improves.

I don't use the apps either, super slow and connect only 25% of the time. I use Pandora mainly from my iPhone via BT. Sound quality is 2x better. I don't even use navigation. Waze from my iPhone is 1000% better!

This Lexus Enform/ App is the biggest Lexus scam ever. What a waste.

I tried voice with Bing but it was extremely slow and came back with nothing on half of my questions since it could not understanding me. Siri has no problem understanding me.
