Left side mirror/reverse question

I just leased the 350GS AWD. In my old GS, the side mirrorw went down on reverse so that you could look and see the pavement (and parking lines if you are backing in). Now, the left side seems to go up and become useless? Is there supposed to be a difference from the old models? Thanks!

Put car in reverse, select the mirror that is not at the correct level (left in your case), adjust it to the level you want it to be when you reverse.

Now, it should work the way you want it to.

Oddly enough, I have my mirror set to the right side, but both the right and left mirrors go down when I reverse. Not complaining. I just thought it was strange, since it is usually the mirror you have set that goes down.
