Hi Guys,

I got the itch for the 3point star as of late, I went into the dealership over the weekend and test drove the new 2014 E350 white/pano, loaded and Im having second thought of trading in my GS Fsport for this car. I love the white/pano combo, it just looks so good. Yes, it's not as fast as our GS350 and it doesnt handle as well either but it's for my wife and she does NOT take full advantage of the GS capability. What are your thoughts on this switch? I do have an order in for the 2014 GS350 Fsport and it should be here in the next two weeks. Thanks for reading and I appreciate your comments.

I wasn't aware there was such a thing as an ES350 Sport, but if you like it, your wife is going to drive it, and you will still have a G350 F Sport in the stable there are no losers.

He means a Benz E350.

I personally do not care for the new refreshed E. I like it from the back, but from the front the new front end just does not flow for me, and inside the GS is a significantly nicer car IMHO.

From a drive perspective, if the 2014 drives like the 2013 its heavy, boaty, but not especially nice riding. The E Class is a car I have always wanted to like but when I sit in one or drive one it always just totally turns me off. Its the last car I would buy in this segment.

Hmmm, when you were able to order the 2014 GS FSport? What kind of packages were available for the F Sport (and pricing out of curiosity)? Hopefully this means the 14's will be on the lots by the end of the month

I agree, the way it drives isnt comparable to the GS Fsport. I like the white/pano option of the car and my little son enjoys it immensely.

The local GM placed the order for me about 3 weeks ago for a 14 Fsport white/red, ML, BSM, IPA and RES, I dropped the LDH & HUD this time (didnt find it useful).

Doesn't the fsport package include LDH?

If your going to keep the car for a long period of time, I would say stick with the Lexus. But judging by your sig. you go through cars every year, so its up to you which you like better.

I personally don't like the Benz E350 sport but as anything it does grow on you, as others have said you don't seem to keep cars very long. I think the interior is bland in a Mercedes but its up to you sounds like you want to get it.

I really appreciate if you can take as many pictures as possible of this 2014 model and post them all here. I'm dead serious to see this 2014 model interior and exterior.

Oh, right. He did say 3 Point star and something just didn't click for me. I agree with you on the redesign. It was pretty wild and eye-catching (if not particularly attractive) before and now it is kind of bland with a big mouth face. I also agree that it would be the last car in this segment that I would consider.

What about the new Maserati Ghibli? It's the same size as the GS, apparently steers and handles very well and isn't the run of the mill German/Japanese midsize sports sedan.

The 404hp Q4 AWD version seems to be very interesting...

Few points here as I have driven the new E class. It was an E250 CDI so I wont talk about the engine. Firstly, interior wise, I prefer the GS, looks more classy. The Mercedes is nice but looks like an office and slightly business based design.

The exterior is nice, however, they got rid of the fender over the rear wheels so looks nowhere near as aggressive.

Im sure the reliability wont be anywhere near Lexus.

Overall, nice car, nice drive albeit bumpy and personally I dont think it handles as well as the GS either. Its ok, but I cant justify spending extra for a E class when it gives nothing more than a GS. The options are INSANELY expensive! It came out £4k more expensive than a GS250 F Sport with Mark Levinson and the huge 12" screen.

the gs 350 is so much more superior then the benz 350. Its cheaper too, but the benz still sells like crazy
