DIY, TRD ignition push button switch on 13 GS
this is very simple DIY install, it should not take more than 5 min. to do, thanks to Joe-Z for doing this,no tools needed at all, everything just pops right out and pops back in.as u can see in the pic, locate the edge of the trim of the radio and u can pop it out with two fingers,and pull it out gently with two hands , do not force it or u might brake it, then u can see the the yellow clip, just pull it toward u gently, u don't have to remove the whole thing out of its place,then u see the ignition switch , locate the 2 clips around the switch and press them and push it out, it might be tight and u have to put a ltl force on pushing it,unplug the wire harness behind it. Now here is the trick, u must replace the chrome bezel ring around the ignition switch, the new one is smaller in diameter so if u try to use it, u will see a gap around ur ignition switch which will look very ugly , so u just pop it nice and gently so u wont brake it from the old one and the new one u switch it, it fits one way , and the trick is locate the two tabs close to each other at 4 o'clock as u see in the pic and push it back in, then plug the harness back in,and before u put the switch back in the hole, put the trim back in, just by pressing it nice and firmly into its place, and then just test the switch , start up the car , it should start with no problem, then turn the ignition off and pop the switch back in its place, and u are done.Again thanks to Joe-Z
