Default Help needed in tapping into rear mirror power

HI all,

Looking to do a stealth install of a radar detector using a Blendmount mirror tap cable.. which has two leads, one for the ground and one for the 12v. Trying to figure out where the rear view mirror power wire connector is located. I took off the rear view mirror but it is not there (on the '13 RX model it is).

My assumption is that is is located above the mirror behind the overhead console panel. Can anyone confirm, and if so how best to try and take off the panel to get to the connector?

My thanks for anyone's expert help in this.
