First lexus - some questions!
Hi guys,
Picked up my first Lexus (previous mercedes driver) and got the GS350 with AWD with all the bells and whistles.
Loving the car but had a couple of questions
a) rear spoiler - have looked around and saw that folks have added a rear spoiler. I am up in Toronto and wondering if you just call up your dealer and ask them to add it in or if its better to seek out a mod shop (if anyone knows a good one)
b) 19inchs - would like to swap out the 18inchers for 19's. Again shoudl I jsut buy a set of Fsport ones from the dealer?
Thanks a lot

Another new owner. Welcome to CL. I'm not the official welcome wagon member...still not sure who actually is...
That's two new people in one day. Congrats, on buying a fine car that you'll love.
Like I said in the other n00b's thread, there is a lot of valuable info hidden in these gems of threads. When you figure out how, pst.pix.pls. of your new ride.

Welcome to CL!
There are 2 types of OEM spoilers, both you can buy on ebay and install at any local body shop. Lexus will charge you $200 for the install. Not sure what the hourly rate there in Canada, but should not be that much different.
Regarding the wheels. This you will have to decide for yourself. Do you want the OEM rims or aftermarket? With aftermarket you have more choices.
P.S
I bought the non F-Sport spoiler on ebay for $250 + installation kit. Then went to local shop and installed it for $50. Lexus wanted to charge me $200.....

a) It really depends on your taste. If you like the one from the F-Sport, you can get it from a Lexus dealer. There are a couple of other options out there but they will look different .. no one will waste time duplicating the factory spoiler. Do a little research by searching the threads and you will find a few pictures.
b) Again, get the wheels you like. The dealers are usually more expensive than private classified, but you never know. Some dealers do have "take-offs" that they will try to get rid of. Not sure if Lexus dealers change out stock wheels like others sometimes do.

Hello and congrats on your new GS350 AWD!
I have an F-sport with the 19 inch rims that I am selling right now under the 4GS classified. They have less than 3k miles on them and are in excellent condition. Take a look at them and see if you like them and the pricing. It is alot cheaper then the 2,500-3,000 dollars they will charge you at the dealership. You just have to remove the tire pressure monitors from your 18 inch wheels and put them inside the 19 inch wheels and rebalance it. I have taken out the TPMS myself for my new wheel set.

Definately check E-Bay! Plent of F-Sport owners who've upgraded to 20"s or something different and are trying to move theirs. Should be able to get a set at half the price Lexus would charge.
