Default Oil Change

Hi guys

Do anyone have the info on doing an oil change. Looking for the best full syn oil and best oil filter. I currently have 5k on the car and hate to change it when it reaches 10k miles. It's a 2013 f sport AWD.

Thanks

I changed my oil already on my ride. It is exactly the same as a IS350 and I used an OEM oil filter with Mobil 1 syn oil.

Mobil 1 Full Synthetic, or the Amsoil. Both top notch oils. I'd recommend the Toyota brand oil filter simply because its what comes on the car when it's new, and they have a very solid anti-drain back valve to retain oil in the filter after you shut the car off. This drastically reduces your engines wear if the car sits for long periods between starts.

I think I read somewhere that the 2013 GS350 comes with a fully synthetic... iirc, think someone said Toyota's oil for these is rebranded Mobil1.

Amsoil is hard to find in some areas. Think the OEM filter is much more cost effective than amsoil as well. ~$7 v. ~$26 I believe

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't we receive two free oil changes or is it just one. Still there is no need to change at 5K since the car is using synthetic oil. Maybe 7K or 8K I think 5K is a little earlier for synthetic oil.

I changed my 4GS oil couple times already: first 500 miles and after 2000 miles. Now I will change at 5000 miles, then at 10K. After that at every 10K miles. At 500 miles I can see the many tiny little metal scrap from the new engine in the oil and oil filter.

I only used Toyoya OEM filter and Mobil 1 0-20W in 5qt judge at Walmart. Been doing this the last 5 years on every car I owned and no problem at all. The 4GS oil change only take me 20 minutes most from start to clean up. Total cost less than $40 bucks.

We get the first one free at 10k miles. I talked them into giving me the 20k as well.

Does anyone have the write up?

Thanks
