My Android was picky, too. I deleted the phone from the car and deleted the car from the phone and started over to get it working again.

I assume you have set up Encore on your phone, set up your account, etc. When I have app issues, I "reboot" my iPhone. Seems to correct things.

I just picked up my liquid platinum GS on Saturday. I had the same problem with my iPhone and called Lexus for assistance. Turns out the problem was that I had the wi-fi turned on and that combined with the fact that I have another vehicle with enform on my account hopelessly confused the system. Deleted the RX from the account and switched off the wi-fi, reinstalled enform on my iPhone and voila, it worked. I still need to turn the wi-fi back on to see if the solution is persistent or not. Probably try that tomorrow and if I do, I'll let you know. Good luck!

Wi-fi does screw up the Bluetooth connectivity, has done so many times in different cars, since Bluetooth is used for enform apps, this needs to be off. Enform apps are still tricky to get to work, I have tried with both android and iPhone, iPhone seems to connect more frequently. Hope iOS6 will make the connection smoother.

As promised, I turned my cell phone wi-fi back on this morning. The apps seem to be stable now but I'll monitor to make sure and if they become unreliable again, i'll be sure to post. Is it really that difficult to build robust software now?

For lazy/careless developers, yes, yes, it is.... it is

I've had a few issues with my iPhone not connecting.

For me, I turn of the engine and restart. Then viola! I'm connected again.

Of course, this is the fix for me, but others may have more difficult issues to contend with.

I was really hoping that there would be some technical explanation because I have a lot of faith in developers (perhaps too much)!

I have no problem with my HTC Sensation except when I leave my house with Wi-Fi on. Then as it switches to data it kills the connection and won't work right until I restart the car. Kind of frustrating sometimes.
My wife's iPhone 4GS on the other hand has more issues. Basically the same thing happens if she leaves with Wi-Fi on, but her Apps connection also drops more frequently. I think the problem is that the App suite relies too much on a 3G or better connection. When my phone's signal gets a little week it drops down to 3G and the App suite still works, but when her iPhone signal drops a little it drops to 2G (Edge) and the App suite will more frequently drop. We really notice it with Pandora app. We will probably get her an iPhone 5 since it will have true 4G and LTE and hopefully it will work as good as my phone (plus she really likes my MAP).

Default Bluetooth sound failure

2006 Lexus GS300 Bluetooth - no sound.

the sound has failed on my GS300 Bluetooth connection- all the dialling /receiving functions work ok but neither party can hear anything (except as very faint background) . Tried with different paired phones. Radio works fine. Service man says it must be a receiver problem - very very expensive to replace. Any advice welcome

With an iPhone it's best to take power via the 12 V socket and not the USB port. System gets all confused when the phone is in iPod mode.
