More people should complain, and hopefully the software update will happen

Oh I don't know. Look at the number of complaints about the archaic mapping software.

Yeah, I think we should complain. Even the 2013 Honda Accord has backup camera lines that move, plus with 3 different view modes (Normal, Wide, Top Down views). It is very disappointing that Lexus/Toyota are cutting costs so much yet charging consumers so much.

called LC when this thread was started. and what i got from the convo is that... i don't think we'll be seeing a BUC update. not until maybe 2014/15, and all the 2013 GS owners will probably have to pay for the update. mo money, mo money, mo money for Lexus is what i'm thinking. that's JMO.

They really need to put the update on y'alls cars. I saw in the manual when talking about the camera, it has the parallel buttons included on that screen, hopefully lexus will activate it for us.

I'm doubting it, we got shafted on the fog lights, the automatic close trunk, 3D maps. This list can go on, I'm pretty sure that they will shaft us again.

We bought the car knowing full well what it was loaded with. I'm sure they will add it in at some point to a future car. They have no reason to go back and add it now. All the complaining when you knew ahead of time you weren't getting that feature seems pointless to me.

I have to agree with you here. You can only claim you got shafted if they mislead or flat out lied to you. If you didn't do your homework and bought the car assuming certain things that is your fault, no one else's .

Seriously though how much of this 'really' affects how you enjoy the car? I could understand if you drove in reverse for miles, but it's a couple of seconds. Lexus added some content and removed some. The earth will still continue to spin on it's axis if your trunk doesn't close they way you think it should, or if the lines in your back up camera don't move or whatever it is
