That's just weird! Why wouldn't we have similar advanced backup camera technology? Should be in every country that sells the GS350. Why put inferior technology in some?

I agree. Doesn't make any sense especially when it is technology related to saftey features. They should be all to the same standards and regulations for every region IMO.

Automatic folding mirrors and moving park assist lines are standard on UK models, I asked the salesman about all the differences in specifications, he told me Lexus just decide on what each country expects or needs.
I have been to the US a few times and your car park spaces are so large you can shut your eyes and still get the car in between the lines, in the UK once your in the space its so tight you cant even open your doors.

I agree In other countries parking is a lot harder compared to the United States.

Talked with Lexus Tech at headquarters today! They are aware of this and are looking into it but currently don't have an ETA and they really don't know if they will ever address this.

I guess they figure Americans can mentally extrapolate where the lines would be on the screen if turning while reversing.

It seem like extremely hard for Lexus to put all the tech & toys together in one car, they like the idea to divide it to separate market over the globe.

I learn to live with it and can't wait to move on to next vehicle purchase with a different brand.

What does the US version Lexus GS350 have that the other countries don't have? What did US do
to not have the same features like; Power Trunk, Power Folding Side Mirrors, and the Backup Camera.

Lexus does not plan on putting the predictive (moveable) lines on the GS's without the advanced park guidance system (self parking).

US version? Probably Lexus Enform and your satellite radio whatever (XM/Sirius).

European versions probably have the DAB radio but I don't know if it's satellite radio or just digital.

But JAPAN JDM VERSION IS THE BEST.
-F-sport models have front foglights standard
-12.3 inch screen is standard on ALL models of the 4GS (as well as GPS navigation + Lexus G-link telematics service)
-LED headlamps available on GS250 and GS350 (dealer option)
-access to TRD and Modellista parts and accessories at the dealer level
-includes "Harmonious Driving Navi" which is like a minigame where there are rankings for Lexus drivers in Japan who save the most fuel
-start-up tone(s) which are unique to Lexus JDM vehicles
-other things

Need I say more
