Double Pane Verses Single Pane Glass.... I sold house windows many years ago and the line of windows that we carried had 3 panes of glass verses our competition which had double or single panes of glass. The trick that we used to show perspective customers was to hold a Bic lighter or match up to the window glass. If 3 flames showed in the reflection of the glass you knew the glass was made up of 3 panes of glass, if 2 flames it was double pane and 1 flame for single pane.
As you can tell this was a great selling point against our competition. Try it

I was surprised after reading this thread that my 2013 GS450h Lux package has dual pane glass as well. The smallest attention to detail makes me so glad i got this car.

So basically, when you wash your car, don't wash the windows using a typical car wash soap, i.e. meguiars/armor all/chemical guys/ turtle wax. Just use a "soft and wet" cloth???

I dislike the water repellent coating on the Windows. Just makes them difficult to clean.

Just wash them with whatever it'll be fine.

If you divorce her, she'll end up with the car and everything else.

If you have the double pane windows its really easy to tell. You wont have to look hard. Here is a pic of the window on my GS.

Default Single pane on gs350 f sport 2016

My front and back windows looks the same so I’m guessing it’s single pane. 2016 gs 350 f sport no cold weather package.

Yeah mine is only the front also. I have the premium model but I have the cold weather package which is what the double pane front windows came with.

This is a very old thread. Fun to read back to the 2012 posts of trying to figure out which models/packages have the dual pane windows. Here we are in 2019 and we still don't know! I'm not convinced it isn't random. Some get them, and some don't.

I think you're right - there doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason to which GS 350s got dual pane windows regardless of which options were on the car.
