This still would be nice to know.

I have a Luxury edition with cold weather package. My front glass is acoustic. No clue on water repellant.

Cold weather pkg includes rain repellant glass on both front windows. Just spray water on one of the treated windows and it will bead up like rain-x. Diff in front and rear windows should be easy to see.

Using a micrometer, I just measured the thickness of the window glass in my F-Sport. It is 5mm in the front and 4mm in the rear. The windows on my 1994 SC400 are also 5mm, BTW. The F-Sport windows all appear to be laminated safety glass. The SC has tempered glass. I believe Lexus is doing everything possible to decrease the weight of these cars. The often criticized trunk lid also looks to me like a weight saving measure.

Here's the glass specs....Read the bottom note...those with Water repellent front glass make sure to take good care to prolong their life.

Ok. Now that we have determined the different types of glass and how to identify them it would be great to know if they are interchangeable.
My Hybrid has the single pane and I would like to know if I could order the dual pane and replace them. Any Ideas?

Pretty sure it would require some changes to the motor to handle the extra weight. I'm curious as to how much they cost.

So what's the final word?
Double or single?
On my 2013 GS Luxury, it seems to be single.

I would doubt any GS would have double as it's luxury future seen on much higher price cars.

My F-Sport AWD with cold weather package had the dual pane glass. It's easy to tell, just by looking at the window. Roll it down a little and rub your fingers over the edge.

I would assume it's both. Even my lowly ES has double-pane, (fronts) as illustrated on the left.

My 2015 F-sport has double-pane, acoustic windows for the front windows. I think they just started this year adding it to all GS.

It seems odd that some GS have double, some GS have single and that I don’t see any info regarding this feature on Lexus site.
I mean a feature like this is a pretty big deal and I would assume Lexus would be more vocal about it.

It would be great if someone with double-pane acoustic windows could actually post a pic.

See the graphic that was posted above. That's exactly how they look. Like a glass sandwich!

I have a 13 FSport and my front two windows are definitely double pane or acoustic windows as shown above. Its super obvious if you roll down the window and look at the edge of the glass. Not sure about the back. Have never checked.
