That's what I noticed on mine as well. I notice that the glass is thicker but does not look like a "true" double pane to me.

My lux has double pane in the front and single pane in the rear (at least on the driver's side). I guess the back seat passengers don't rate.

Some of the older custom / ultra luxury LS430s that came with double pane laminated side windows developed fogging problems from moisture getting into the center laminate. Replacement cost was something like $600-800 per window.

So maybe Lux has double pane and F-Sport has thicker pane?

My F-Sport definitely doesn't look like the picture above, but is thicker than the rear.

Could it be the water repellent glass in the lux. Pkh is thicker? Nope. That's the cold weather pkg.

Could it be based on the sound system? ML comes with double pane and non ML has thicker glass?

Mine Lux has double pane in the front and single pane in the rear. Mine has ML but I think double pane standard for all Lux model.

question is which model / trim gets you the double pane (acoustic?) ones.

and of course, having 3 types instead of 2, that's not helping either! (i thought only 2 types)

Lexus website lists the water repellent glass as being part of the cold weather package.

...or you can just use RainX and a regular glass?
