My SA informed me last week that the service interval for blinker fluid is every 10,000 miles with an inspection every 5,000 miles as part of the Lexus "Premium" maintenance schedule.

My SA quoted $49.99 for the inspection which would include a loaner vehicle, complimentary car wash, vacuum, as well as pastries and beverages from the receptionist.

Is this a good deal?

As a one-time offer, my SA was also willing to take 10% off as a new Lexus owner!

P.S. I just found it as the fluid online. Does anyone have a DIY?

$49.99 is not a bad price. Take it and run. Especially with the 10% discount.

I'd say buy the fluid and do it yourself, but the draining and bleeding process can get messy and if not bled properly, you'll have a spongy feel to the blinker lever. I changed the fluid on my 335i two times and swore that I would never do it again. Its a real PITA without a lift and the proper vacuum hose and gauge.

Plus, you get beverages and pastries. go for it

WTF is a blinker fluid? Are you guys serious? Blinker bulbs are bulbs and there is no fluid. And the blinker switch is plastic?????????????????????????

Make sure it's filled all the way to the max level in the blinker reservoir....

 

Remember that these new momentary contact blinker switches REQUIRE synthetic blinker fluid. Dino blinker fluid will gum up the works, unless you never use your blinkers. Proceed with caution.

I made the mistake of using headlight fluid in my blinkers and had to have the entire line flushed so learn from my costly mistake...
