Default Collision Estimate

I feel stupid asking, because damage doesn’t look that bad but the car is old with 100k miles.

long story shot, deer ran into the side of the car as I’m driving 60ish down some backroads in the middle of no where coming back from out of town.

dents on both doors and rear quarter. I can’t imagine they’d total, but because the car is almost 14 years old, I’m not quite sure

I'm not expert but that doesn't look that bad
However there is the possibility that there is a computer module under the body just in front of the taillight

My GS was damaged way worse than this and was far from being totaled (However I am in NZ so everything could be different).

Between the value of used cars and the damage, I don’t think it will but I was unsure due to how old it is and then have the insurance say this isn’t worth it. Thank you for the input

Depends on if they use body parts or not, if they use parts its probably totaled. If no parts, meaning hammer and dolly the dents out then it wont get totaled. Because if they call for body parts removing/cutting and welding a rear quarter panel will take a lot of labour and parts cost. The same also for reskinning the door.

If they cut you a check, you can probably just take it to a pdr guy have him pull the dents out, and just touch paint the cracked off paint and have them polish it. That would be the cheap way to repair this car.

BTW your paint color is super difficult to match, so if they decide to paint the car for repair make sure the blend far into other panels.

Its really not as bad as it looks, its all cosmetic. Pretty sure after the insurance estimates and photos are done. You can wipe clean that black smears on the passenger door. Majority can be pulled with PDR in a days work

I totally agree with you, but also the GS is a bit of a tank.
I got rear ended and was completely fine with 'relatively' minor damage to the car
Other guys car was completely totaled

A bit of quarter panel PDR by the looks of it. Doors should be dime a dozen if it comes to replacing them. Doesn't look like a total in any way, shape or form but then again, you're in the states.
